Money Makes You Happy! What’s Wrong With This Statement?

So you think “money” makes you happy? You think that’s true? Many feel that money can indeed “buy” you happiness. I recently got into this conversation with a group, and one young lady made the following comment…”Whoever said that money can’t buy you happiness is simply shopping in the WRONG place!”….Hmmm…Let me know what you think. My own answer may surprise you…then again..maybe not..

Hanif, I can guess what you’re going to say..”money can’t buy you happiness”…We all hear this everyday. Buy then why do so many people say that it does? Are they all wrong? Why do so many people disagree?

..hmmmm…I wanted to answer, but looks like I have more questions than I do answers….

Ok, so it’s true that money can indeed “buy” you things that make you feel good. Fancy cars, exotic vacations, luxury homes, whatever floats your boat. However, does it buy you “happiness”?….

Do you honestly think stars like Britney Spears are happy? Do you really believe most people who come into money are genuinely happy? And let’s not confuse “happiness” with “fun”. You certainly CAN have a lot of “fun” with money. But “happiness”?….Not a chance….I’ll be back…

There are 2 different concepts here: money and happiness.
What is money? It is a physical means of trade. The more you have the more you can trade.
What is happiness? It is a vibration that resonates inside our physical bodies and can resonate all the way down to the cellular level…the higher and faster the vibration, the happier we are. The physical vibration is the lowest level, moving up to the mental level, then the emotional level, and then to the spiritual level. When a person is happy spiritually then he is happier than a person who is happy physically - that is, the vibration generating on the higher and faster cellular level creates a sense of ultimate pleasure that we call happiness.
Back to the relationship of money to happiness:
What we do with ‘more money’ that can bring ‘more happiness’: If we have more money and use it to bring a higher vibrational level from spiritual-motivated spending, then that will bring more pleasure and more happiness than if we spend it for physically-motivated pleasure, and so forth.

    That’s my 2 cents!
    Cheers,
