Ways To Counter Anxiety
There are many ways to counter anxiety, many of which have been used to relieve anxiety for a great number of years. Natural therapies such as Kava which is an anti-anxiety herb that has calming effects and can be soothing, is one answer. Kava is not only a muscle relaxant, but also a mild sedative. It is useful for combattingr stress, tension, anxiety, insomnia and irritability. It is often used for mild depression, anxiety, irritability and forms of tension.
Another herb, Verbena is known to relax your nervous system and is also taken for nervous disorders such as stress and exhaustion. Another herb, Passionflower, is known for it’s sedative powers and also relaxes the nervous system. Other benefits include it’s positive effects on nervous disorders such as epilepsy, anxiety, heart palpitations, stress and insomnia.
Bergamot, which many are familiar with, also aids in helping one regain self confidence, helping soothe anger and frustration, and in evoking feelings of tranquility. Another known herb, Frankincense, is often used to allay fear, soothe the mind, and give you a calming feeling. Cypress is known to soothe anger and evoke a calming effect. Lime is also recommended for a tired mind, , and good for overall fatigue and for stimulating the body and mind to rid itself of anxiety, depression and apathy. Jasmine, on the other hand, helps to diminish fear, and improves self confidence. Most people are aware of Lavender’s sedative properties, for alleviating stress, and for dealing with crisis situations. Patchouli is yet another substance that is excellent for dealing with depression and anxiety, while Rose is known to soothe the feeling of anger, anxiety and fear, and is also good for behavioral problems, and feelings of sadness. Sandalwood, which is very popular, is calming, and helps reduce tension and confusion, it also helps in building confidence, feelings of warmth and understanding, and is helpful in dealing with stress, fear, depression, and a busy and hectic lifestyle.
Another popular method of dealing with anxiety, is Meditation. Meditating has not only been shown to help anxiety disorders, but when practiced at least once a day, can help contain negative thoughts which can bring about certain anxiety. Practicing meditation can be a very powerful and useful routine to help eliminate negative thoughts. Meditation works by calming and relaxing your mind. Once your mind relaxes, your body then also relaxes as well. Relaxation techniques work on calming the various muscles throughout your body.
However, of all the different ways to counter anxiety, one of the most effective techniques has to do with “brainwave entrainment”. This is a proven method whereby, the imbalance of brainwaves, which is thought to be the root of anxiety, is safely corrected and restored. Once this process is completed, feelings of anxiety and stress are no longer an issue for most people. Although brain entrainment sounds like an expensive “procedure”, it is in fact as simple as popping in a specially designed CD and listening while you relax.

So you think “money” makes you happy? You think that’s true? Many feel that money can indeed “buy” you happiness. I recently got into this conversation with a group, and one young lady made the following comment…”Whoever said that money can’t buy you happiness is simply shopping in the WRONG place!”….Hmmm…Let me know what you think. My own answer may surprise you…then again..maybe not..

Ok, so now you are completely relaxed and ready to reach the next level. You must have complete control of your breathing. You now have a clear state of mind that is completely calm.
You are now in a position to focus on the purpose of this hypnosis. Focus on the main goal you are trying to achieve. Is it weight loss? Is it quitting smoking?. Let’s assume it is weight loss, for this example.
What you will want to do is to associate complete negativity with overeating and binging. Start to visualize specifically about good habits and making the right choices when it comes to foods. Associate negative feelings with eating and snacking when you are not hungry. Allow time for this information to be absorbed, then very slowly, visualize about how great you feel and look, and associate only positivity about remaining healthy and eating right.
Remember, this is all going straight to your subconscious mind while the conscious mind is on “stand-by” mode. This suggestive visualization is then readily absorbed by you and the subconscious mind basically takes over at this point. The most important point to keep in mind throughout all of this is that to make lasting changes in behaviour, you must make sure that your mind is free and clear of all thought. Playing the role of the hypnotist in this case means you have to remain positive and nurturing at all times. This will ensure a productive hypnosis session and a successful outcome.
Although there is much more than this to successful hypnosis, the above is a great starting point for many people. The possibilities are endless.

It’s not as difficult to hypnotize yourself as it is to hypnotize others. This is of course assuming you are willing to be hypnotized. What is required is the proper attitude, a desire to change something about yourself, and the proper surrounding and environment. There can be no distractions when attempting hypnosis.
Step 1:
Find a quiet place free from ALL distractions.
Step 2:
Lye down in a comfortable position and close your eyes. Relax in this state for a few minutes
Step 3:
Now try and focus or concentrate on a single thought. The idea here is to be completely “lost” or engrossed in your thought. Similar to be being engrossed in a movie you like.
Stay tuned for the next steps detailing how to hypnotize yourself….in my next post.

So, are you ready to develop your intuition? Here are some ways to super-charge your intuition:
1. Hypnosis
Yes, hypnosis. Hypnosis, and even self-hypnosis have been proven to help in the development of intuition. You don’t necessarily need to get someone else to hypnotise you, you can perform self-hypnosis using many hypnotic programs that are readily available.
2. Meditation
Meditating means clearing your thoughts and finding peace within yourself. If your mind is cluttered with too much baggage and hurt, it is very difficult to access or initiate any intuition. There are as many ways to meditate as there are people: for example, yoga, prayers, and various meditation CDs.
3. Think positive!
You knew this was coming. A positive mental outlook promotes and fosters the ideal environment for intuition ability. By staying positive, you will attract good energy that enables you to unblock your intuition.
4. Just let go.
What does it mean to let go? If you are about to make an important decision, let go of all the restraints and retreat to a quiet place where you can detach yourself from your decision. Allow your inner voice to dictate new ideas and confirmations to you. This can only happen once you learn to let go.

Many people still believe that intuition is more of a “gift” rather than a skill or behaviour that can be learned. While it is true that a few people are indeed more intuitive than others, the notion that intuition cannot be learned, is simply false.
But why even bother developing your intuition in the first place? Intuition, in many cases, can mean the difference between life and death. For example the “gut feeling” that has prevented many people from making fatal mistakes that may have otherwise lead to their death. Or those inexplicable feelings that sometimes warn people of imminent danger.
While most examples of intuition are not so dramatic, they are nonetheless profound in many ways and often occur on a daily basis.
In my next post I will illustrate some examples of exactly how to encourage the development of greater intuition.

You may have heard of a technology called brainwave therapy or brain entrainment, which uses pulses of sound to improve and optimize your brain chemistry. This technology has been scientifically proven in numerous studies to alter the brain’s natural function. For a long time, the main form of this technology was a method called binaural beats.
The idea behind binaural beats is simple: play two very similar tones, one into each ear, and the brain will sync up to the difference between the tones. For example, if one ear hears 500 Hz and the other ear hears 510 Hz, the listeners brainwaves will move towards 10 Hz ( this would put the brainwaves into whats called the Alpha state, a relaxed or sleepy state good for relaxation or self-hypnosis).
Recently, a new method called isochronic tones has hit the brainwave therapy scene. Isochronic tones involve a single manually spaced tone, which is turned on and off in a precise pattern to get results. This raises the question: Which works better, binaural beats or isochronic tones? The short answer: Isochronic tones.
There are several reasons for this:
-Binaural beats have much shallower waveforms than Isochronic Tones. This means that they don’t penetrate as far into the brain or have the same desired level of effect on behaviour as do Isochronic Tones.
In fact, in one study, binaural beats did not manage to beat the control (which was recorded surf sounds) at changing brain function. Due to the fact that Binaural technology requires the use of both ears, binaural beats cannot work on both hemispheres of the brain at one time. This is a disadvatage when dealing with certain types of conditions, where successful clinical results have been gained from working on both hemispheres at the same time.
Isochronic tones, on the other hand, work on the individual ears, and can affect both hemispheres of the brain at one time. Also, whereas Binaural beats require the use of headphones and/or special speakers, Isochronic tones do not. You can pop an Isochronic CD into a player, hit play, and gain the desired effects. This is an advantage for those who don’t own or prefer not to use headphones.
